WATI and Interakt both sell a shared inbox, broadcasts and chatbots on WhatsApp's Cloud API, and both charge per message on top of a plan. They differ in shape: WATI meters users and extra numbers and spreads its plans across automation and API limits, while Interakt lists unlimited agents, prints its per-message rates by plan, and builds in commerce for Shopify and WooCommerce sellers.

What is the real difference between WATI and Interakt?

  • The two do not bill on the same basis. WATI's page leads with quarterly billing; Interakt's prices are monthly with a quarterly saving of 8% and a yearly saving of 20% behind a toggle. Compare like with like before comparing a headline.
  • WATI charges for people and numbers: more than five users or a second number moves the bill. Interakt charges for features and per-message rates, so its cost tracks what you send rather than who is in the inbox.
  • Groups only matter to one of them on the pricing evidence: WATI offers them on its top plan, on a verified number, with at most 7 outside participants per group.
  • Interakt's Sales CRM is a separate add-on, with its own agent count and one shared WhatsApp number.

Which should you pick, WATI or Interakt?

Pick WATI if:

  • Your team will grow past five people and you want a rate card plus plan tiers that scale automation and API limits.
  • Chatbots and integrations are the centre of the job, not a store.
  • You may need WhatsApp groups and can run them on the top plan.

Pick Interakt if:

  • You sell through Shopify or WooCommerce and want catalogs, a checkout bot and payments in the chat.
  • You want the per-message rate printed on the page before you sign.
  • Agents are many and you do not want to pay by the seat.

How do they fit three kinds of team?

What should you test in a trial or demo?

  1. Run your most common customer message through each tool's chatbot builder and see how many steps it takes.
  2. Price your real monthly message mix in each, using Interakt's printed rates and WATI's rate card.
  3. Ask WATI for a Business trial if groups matter; ask Interakt which plan your agents need.
  4. Check each tool's integration list against the systems you already run.

What are WATI and Interakt not built for?

Neither is shaped around a business whose customers write to many numbers. Both centre on one WhatsApp number per account on the pricing evidence, and both pass Meta's per-message charges through.

If your customers write to a number per store, branch or team, WavesFlo links each of those numbers from its own phone into one inbox for every number, with every chat marked by the number it reached. It is quoted on the numbers and people you run and billed yearly, so the per-message line in the table above has no WavesFlo counterpart.

Everything above is what each vendor's own pages listed on 27 October 2026. Plans, prices and limits change, and billing period, country and currency can change the figure, so confirm on the live pages.
