DoubleTick's home page FAQ says you can add 500+ WhatsApp Business numbers to a single account, with broadcasts and automations set up separately for each number. Its inbox is described as centralised across all numbers, covering chats, calls and groups, with hierarchical team management and role-based access. The page does not say how numbers are priced.
What do the vendor's own pages say?
| Item | What the page says |
|---|---|
| Numbers on one account | 500+ WhatsApp Business numbers, per its FAQ |
| Inbox | A unified inbox for chats, calls and groups across all numbers |
| Broadcasts and automations | Set up separately for each number |
| Team structure | Hierarchical team management with role-based access |
| Apps | Android and iOS apps |
| Pricing | Plans named Starter, Pro and Enterprise; amounts quoted after a demo; conversation charges by country |
| Not stated | How a number is connected, how numbers or users are counted in the price, and any per-number charge |
What does that mean in practice?
- The headline number is a ceiling on one account, not a price. Whether 50 numbers cost the same per number as 5 is a question for the quote.
- Per-number broadcast and automation settings are useful for stores and branches that should not share campaigns, but they also multiply the settings someone has to maintain.
- A hierarchy with role-based access is the feature that makes a large estate manageable, and it is the part worth walking through in the demo with your own org chart.
What should you ask in the demo?
- Is the price per user, per number or per team, and how does it change at 10, 50 and 200 numbers?
- How is a number connected, and what happens to the phone and to its existing chats and groups?
- How does the hierarchy map to regions, branches and stores, and who can see which number?
- What do conversation charges come to for your countries, and are they marked up?
- What does an offline number do to the rest of the account?
How would you roll out 50 numbers?
- Group the numbers by owner: store, branch, region, function. The hierarchy depends on it.
- Link five in a pilot region, and have each team lead use the inbox for a week.
- Set roles and visibility by number before adding the rest, since fixing access later is harder.
- Add the remaining numbers by region, with a named person responsible for each phone staying connected.
- Review conversation charges after the first full month by number, and adjust broadcasts per number.
Where does WavesFlo fit?
WavesFlo is quoted too, on the connected numbers and team members you run, and each number links from its own phone into one inbox across the estate with its own health score and daily and hourly allowance. Regions, branches and stores map onto access set by role and by number.
The two quoted tools are set side by side in DoubleTick compared with WavesFlo.
