Periskope connects each number by scanning a QR code from WhatsApp's Link device screen, says it supports upwards of 1,000 numbers, and bills phones separately from users: the first phone is free and each extra costs $25 a month on Starter or $35 a month on Pro. Everything a number belongs to, chats and groups alike, is synced into one dashboard.

What do the vendor's own pages say?

Periskope on multiple numbers, from its docs and pages, checked 27 October 2026
ItemWhat the page says
How a number connectsQR code scan: open WhatsApp Settings, choose Link device, scan the code; a refetch option gives a new code if it fails
What can be linkedA normal or business WhatsApp account; numbers on the Cloud API cannot be linked
After connectingAll chats and groups the number belongs to are synced; phones can be restarted, resynced, deleted or added from the settings page
How manyupwards of 1,000 numbers, per its home page
PriceFirst phone free; each extra $25 a month on Starter, $35 a month on Pro; Enterprise from 50 users or phones
Bulk group actionsAdding or removing members needs the connected number to be an admin of that group
ControlsRole-based permissions, number masking, audit logs and data exports, per its home page
Not stated in the docsWhether the phone must stay online, how many linked devices are allowed, or any cap on numbers

What does that mean in practice?

  • Linking by QR means each number uses one of WhatsApp's own linked-device places on that account, and WhatsApp logs linked devices out if the phone goes unused for 14 days. That is WhatsApp's rule, and it applies to every tool that links this way.
  • Phones and users are separate lines, so a team with many numbers and few people pays mostly for phones, while a big team on one number pays mostly for users.
  • Group admin matters. A bulk action on a group works only where the connected number is an admin.

What should you plan for?

  1. Price your own counts: users times the per-user price, plus extra phones.
  2. Keep each phone powered and used, so its link stays alive.
  3. Decide who administers each group a number must act on.
  4. Test a restart and a resync on one number before connecting all of them.

What do 3, 10 and 30 phones cost with 5 users?

Periskope with 5 users as phones are added, from the listed prices (27 October 2026)
Team shapeStarter, a monthPro, a month
3 phones, 5 users$175$245
10 phones, 5 users$350$490
30 phones, 5 users$850$1,190

Users and phones are separate lines, so the phone count drives the total once it passes the user count. Add-ons are extra, and the Enterprise minimum is 50 users or phones.

Where does WavesFlo fit?

WavesFlo links numbers the same way, from each phone's Linked devices screen, and puts them in a team inbox where each chat has an owner and each number its own health score and allowance. Instead of users plus phones, its one plan is quoted on the numbers and team members you run, billed yearly.

How the two compare beyond numbers is in Periskope compared with WavesFlo.

This is what each vendor's own pages stated on 27 October 2026. Where a page is silent, this guide says so rather than guess, and a vendor can answer the open questions in a demo or in writing.
