No. AiSensy's co-existence guide says groups keep working in the WhatsApp Business app but are not supported or synchronised through the Cloud API, so group chats do not appear in the AiSensy dashboard. One-to-one chats are mirrored between the app and the dashboard; groups stay on the phone.
What do the vendor's own pages say?
| Item | What the page says |
|---|---|
| Groups through AiSensy | Not supported or synchronised through the Cloud API; group chats do not appear in the dashboard |
| Groups in the phone's app | Keep working in the WhatsApp Business app |
| One-to-one chats | Supported one-to-one messages are mirrored between the app and the AiSensy dashboard |
| Turned off in co-existence | Disappearing messages, view-once messages and live location |
| Broadcast lists | New lists cannot be created and existing lists become read-only |
| History | Recent individual chats can be synchronised at onboarding |
| Requirements | An active, eligible WhatsApp Business app number, a supported app version and a Facebook Business Manager account |
| Availability | Beta, not self-serve, for eligible Indian numbers, with Nigeria and South Africa also named; enabled through AiSensy support |
What does that mean in practice?
- A team that runs customers or dealers in groups cannot manage them from AiSensy. Someone has to read them on the phone.
- The Cloud API route changes other things on the same number: new broadcast lists are blocked and some message types are switched off while co-existence is on.
- AiSensy's strengths sit in one-to-one chats, broadcasts and chatbots, and its pricing pages describe a single WhatsApp Business number.
What should you check before you commit?
- List the groups your team answers today. If they carry revenue, AiSensy alone will not cover them.
- Ask whether your number qualifies for co-existence, which is in beta.
- Ask what happens to existing broadcast lists in the app when co-existence starts.
- Decide who reads groups on the phone, and how the answers are recorded.
How should a group-heavy team split the work?
| Work | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Broadcasts and campaigns to customers | AiSensy | Its strength, with printed message rates |
| One-to-one chats and chatbots | AiSensy | Mirrored between the app and the dashboard |
| Customer groups | The phone, or another tool | Not synchronised through the Cloud API |
| Group reporting and ownership | Another tool | Nothing in the dashboard sees groups |
Splitting works while groups are an occasional channel. If they are where the work is, the tool that cannot see them becomes the wrong centre, and the phone becomes an unrecorded second system.
Where does WavesFlo fit?
Groups are the part AiSensy's guide rules out and the part WavesFlo is built around: a number linked from its phone brings its groups into the same inbox as its direct chats, each marked with the number. The yearly quote is set on numbers and team members, so running more groups does not add to it.
The full side-by-side is AiSensy compared with WavesFlo.
